Hello Honey & Lost Lagoon Cake Pop!

Each time a new catalog comes out I do a big swap with the demonstrators on my team.  We get together and stamp an afternoon or evening away and go home with loads of new samples to share at our events.  For the last swap we did in May, one of the projects I did was a cake pop holder.

As soon as I saw this stamp in the Num Num stamp set I knew exactly what my project would be!  My color inspiration came from the Moonlight DSP stack and I paired Hello Honey with Lost Lagoon and a little bit of Basic Gray.

I started with a strip of Hello Honey cardstock which I stamped with an image from the Mosaic Madness set and Hello Honey ink.  I punched each end with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and did some scoring in the middle so it would be able to sit flat on a table.

The little saying is from the Num Num set and I colored it with Stampin' Write Markers to get it multi-colored.  I stuck it on my project with the new Fast Fuse adhesive and embellished with a little Lost Lagoon banner and a metal button.  The cake pop is tied in with some Lost Lagoon ribbon (you know...that luscious new In Color ribbon that you need every color of!!!).

I will admit that at first I didn't really like the new Fast Fuse adhesive.  It's really sticky, but there's a bit of a learning curve.  Now that I've figured it out I think I will be using it a lot more!!!!  Here's a little video comparing Fast Fuse and SNAIL so you can see the difference between the two...and I had a little Harry Potter moment (HP fans will know it when they see it!!!)!

Everything you need (except the cake pops!) to create this project can be found in my online store.  Head on over there with the shopping list and place your order today!

Hello!  My name is Hello Honey and I am one of the new Stampin' Up! In Colors for 2014-2016.  I am a beautiful, mellow shade of yellow.  Lisa says I'm like the old More Mustard got busy with So Saffron...and she loves me!

Check out this flower she made using me.  You'll see in the video she's not sure exactly what to call this flower...it's kind of funny!

Super cute, eh?  It's made with the Crepe Filter Paper, a styrofoam ball, a skewer, some Mossy Meadow ribbon and a Stampin' Spritzer full of a little concoction of water and Hello Honey ink.  Check out the video for the whole scoop.

Simple Hello Honey Thank You Card

A couple weeks ago I had my "Meet the New Kids" class where I introduced everyone to the new In Colors, aka the "new kids" in the catalog.  We did a fun little color combination sheet and made a simple card for each new color.  Last week I showed the Blackberry Bliss card and this week we are moving on to Hello Honey!

I love the combination of a yellow and a brown.  Here you see Hello Honey paired with Early Espresso for a simple and quick thank you card.  The background was made with strips of Hello Honey cardstock which were sponged around the edges.   I started with a 4x4 piece of Hello Honey cardstock and cut strips that measure 1 3/4", 1 1/4", 3/4" and 1/4".

The focal point is a tag made from Naturals White cardstock and the Angled Tag Topper punch.  I simple stamped a flower from the new Blooming with Hope hostess set, stamped some thank you's up the side with  Hello Honey ink and finished it off with a little Hello Honey ribbon.  The new In Color ribbons are luscious and so pretty....you definitely need them all!  The tag was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it a little pop off the card.

You can find all the ingredients for this card in my online store.  Head over there with the shopping list today to place your order!

Blackberry Bliss Sympathy Card

Continuing on with Blackberry Bliss this week, I have a simple and pretty Sympathy card to show you.

I don't' often make sympathy cards, but I just loved the saying in the Blooming with Hope set and it seemed to fit nicely with the card.  And, one of the best things about stamping is that you could easily re-create this card with a birthday wish!

I started with a blackberry bliss base for my card and layered on a piece of Sahara Sand which I stamped with the flower image (with Sahara Sand ink).  I am loving the combination of Sahara Sand and Blackberry Bliss...who am I kidding, I am loving Blackberry Bliss with almost anything right now!!!!!

The focal point is a Whisper White tag.  I stamped the flower image with black StazOn ink and watercolored it (Aqua Painters, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow ink).  Then I stamped my sentiment, added some piercing and finished it off with some Blackberry Bliss ribbon (did I mention how much I love the new In Color ribbon!) tied with some Linen Thread.

The result is a beautiful and simple card.  Although when I made about 35 of them for swaps I was no longer thinking they were simple and was seeing little pierced dots in my sleep!!!!

You can find all the supplies you need to create this card at home in my online store.  Head on over there with the shopping list and place your order today!

It has been 13 years since I bought a greeting card.

And, I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!

This is my story.  My sister-in-law phoned me one night very excited about a party she had just been to, a Stampin' Up! party.  At the time Stampin' Up! was a new company in Canada and she loved the products so much that she signed up to be a demonstrator so she could get a discount on her scrapbooking supplies.  She thought I should sign up too (because we used to scrapbook together all the time).  And, I said ok!  Just like that, without ever having stamped before and not really knowing anything about Stampin' Up!.  Crazy, eh?  I figured if she was that excited and was getting a discount I wanted it too!

That was almost 13 years ago and I haven't looked back.  Becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator was quite possibly one of the best decisions I have ever made.  Let me tell you why...
  • I have met some of my most cherished friends through Stampin' Up! (including one I met on a Stampin' Up! trip and we are like soul sisters...I love her like she's part of my family).
  • I have been able to travel with Stampin' Up! both for training events and incentive trips
  • I get a discount on my crafting supplies
  • I get to see and order new catalog product before the general public
  • I get to attend super fun Stampin' Up! events like Convention and Leadership, regional events and events with my downline and other demonstrators
  • I paid for our last vehicle with my Stampin' Up! paychecks
  • Stampin' Up! has taught me to be very goal oriented (I set a lot of goals and I achieve a lot of goals)
  • I get paid to be creative
  • I can work early in the morning, late at night or take my stamps on the road and work while my kids are at Judo practice
  • You can't beat the commute!
  • I have become a much more confident person because of Stampin' Up! (I have demoed in front of hundreds and hundreds of people without being super nervous)
There's no better time than now to start your story.  Until the end of June you can join Stampin' Up! for only $60!  You have nothing to lose and you never know what you will gain from the experience....new friends, a little extra cash, a lot of extra cash, creative time, a discount on your stamping supplies.

You get to choose $65 of product (I can help you with that) for your kit and you will also receive business supplies valued at $70.  After that you can choose to stay active by submitting $400 in sales each quarter (your own orders count toward this sales number) or you can choose to go unactive.  Either way you get a great kit of stamping supplies that is yours to keep and will have had a great experience.

So what are you waiting for?  Let's start writing your story today.  Contact me and we can chat some more about getting started, or you can just go right to my website and submit the "paperwork".  I can't wait to have you on my team!  But hurry....this deal only lasts until the end of the month!

Have an inspired day!
