Today was cold and snowy and it was the perfect day to hide out in my stamp room (between curling matches!) and get my stamp on!!! I have some fun upcoming classes planned and was able to finish up some samples...which I will show you at a later date! Today I want to share some pictures and info about my Scrap-A-Stack!
I'm offering a Sale-A-Bration Scrap-A-Stack on Saturday, March 24 (7-10pm), and this is going to be a super fun and busy class! Class participants will complete 10 (yes, 10!) 12x12 Double Page Spreads. There are so many layouts that I couldn't fit them all in one picture!
The cost of this class is $65 and that includes full packs of 12x12 Cardstock (Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red & In Color 2011), Designer Printed Brads, Pearls & Vanilla Seam Binding as well as half packs of Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad pack. Class participants will also receive a Scrap Map so that you can easily re-create or finish up any of the layouts at home!
All of the layouts are made from simple cuts and measurements to maximize your supplies! Class participants are asked to leave pictures at home and just focus on the layouts for this class. Participants will also need to bring a paper cutter and adhesive (enough to complete all the layouts).
Here are two of my favorite layouts for this class...
Want to complete the layouts, but can't make it to the class? No problem! This class will be available as a Class To Go which you can pick up or have shipped to you. If you choose to do this as a Class To Go and require it be mailed to you, please add $10 for shipping. Becuase I'm including full packs of Stampin' Up! product in this class, the Class To Go will only be available in Canada.
Please contact me for more info or to register for this fun class!

Squirrel!!!!
I had a blast with my stamp club last night! One of my clubs are guinea pigs for some new stuff I'm thinking of starting and so far so good! One of the new things is "Stump the Stamper". I was a bit worried about how this would go, but it was so fun! Basically the hostess for the evening gets to bring a Stampin' Up! item to try and stump me with! It can be anything they want and I will make something with it and they get to keep what I make. Last night we had a mystery hostess night, and one of the girls brought a stamp set that she "thought was great in the catalog, but when she got it home she wasn't so sure"! I got everyone started on their project and after looking at and holding the stamp set for a while inspiration struck!!! I actually had a few ideas!!!
The set she brought was Pendant Park (you can see it here...or if you have your catalog handy, look on page 79!). This is a set that I don't have and have never used, but I have seen some pretty cards done with it. I immediately fell in love with the squirrels on the bench (sorry, mom...they're cute!!!), so my card centered around that image. In fact, in my head I have a running dialogue of the squirrel conversation between those two little squirrels!
I started by stamping the squirrels with Early Espresso ink on Naturals White cardstock. Then I cut out a heart with the smallest heart framelit and stuck it over the squirrels. I sponged around it with Pink Pirouette and Pretty In Pink ink and when I took the heart off I had a cute little reverse masked heart over the squirrels. I stuck that piece on a 3x6 Early Espresso card and tied a piece of Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon around it. I also added one of the heart trinkets (you can find these in the Occasions Mini...soooo cute!) with a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine. The whole thing is finished off with a "Happy Anniversary" which is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set...a must have set for all card makers!!!
So what do you think? I'm pretty impressed with myself considering I didn't know what anyone was bringing and I only had club time to make something!

Happiness
What makes you happy? There are a lot of things that make me happy...my family, my friends, my job, clear mount stamps, chocolates, my Big Shot...I could go on! The Loving Thoughts stamp set in the Occasions Mini is a fantastic set to tell people how you feel about them. It's inspiring and just makes me feel good! And this happens to be the set that I used for the project I'm sharing with you today!
The other night I had my first Try It Tuesday class and we tried out the new Labels collection Framelits. This is one of the projects we did...it was inspired by a project Shelli showed at Leadership conference in San Antonio.
It uses 2 of the largest labels to create a fun pouch. It's very technical how you join them together! I cut the end off at the second indent (just cut it straight across by joining the indents!), and then score about an inch from the cut end. Then you glue the two ends together and fold up so the decorative ends meet. Rather than punching a normal circle hole, I decided to use my little flower punch this time...cute, eh? The top is tied with a piece of Pool Party Baker's Twine. Funny little story...I was thinking that I didn't really love the Baker's Twine from the Occasions Mini in the In Colors, until I went to Leadership! We all got a package of Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine to complete our Make & Takes and with that Stampin' Up! successfully convinced me that I needed ALL the colors!!!!!
Here's a different view so you can see what I put inside.
I used three Hershey's Nuggets, each of which are covered with a small piece of More Mustard Designer Paper (cause they have to coordinate with the rest of the project!). The are super cute with a little punched flower (Island Indigo) with a rhinestone in the middle on them! Hershey's, if you're reading this, Stampin' Up! Demonstrators in Canada NEED Hershey's Nuggets YEAR ROUND...not just at Christmas!!!! They are the perfect chocolates for so many stampin' projects!!!

Mixed Bunch and Beautiful Blossoms
One of my favorite products in the Occasions Mini (and let's face it, I have a lot of favorites in this mini!) is the Mixed bunch stamp set and coordinating Blossom punch. Check out what I did with these products for a swap I had with my downline a while back.
I wanted to use colors other than what are showcased in the mini right now and I think I achieved that! My favorite part of this card is the ribbon detail. There's a layer of Soft Suede Taffeta ribbon on the So Saffron strip which, then has a layer of Very Vanilla narrow Taffeta tied around it. The texture on that area of the card is fantastic!
The sentiment I chose for this card is from the Pursuit of Happiness set. The sentiments in that set are FANTASTIC!!! Check it out here.

Cupid Corn
A while back I was shopping at Bulk Barn for candy (for crafts!!) and came across Cupid Corn! I'm not going to even get into how much I bought (or how much I've eaten from my huge bag of it!), but I will show you one of the projects I've done with it!
This project was one of the ones the girls did at my Try It Tuesday class last night! We had a blast playing with the new Labels Framelits (from the Occasions Mini). We used the second biggest Label and cut it out of Real Red cardstock, scored it down the middle and folded it in half. On the front half, we used another new Big Shot product...the Edgelits! We used the one that embosses rows of sweet little hearts. It's finished off with a stamped heart (which was heat embossed and cut out with the Hearts Framelits) from the P.S. I Love You set, a small punched heart and a sweet sentiment (also from the P.S. I Love You set). It needed a little bling...ok, a lot of bling, so we added a row of Rhinestones to it!
The whole thing was stuck on one of the small cello bags which was filled with the cupid corn.
So cute and so fun! Have an inspired day!
