Best Wishes

Best wishes that my swaps will arrive before the end of the month (but I'm not holding my breath...more on that later)!  I participated in a little swap organized by my upline.  We had to use the Four Frames set that you can get as a sneak peek this month.  Here's what I came up with.

Oh, so pretty!  I did the Bisque Pottery technique for the background and then went to work on my focal point.  I stamped my image (from Four Frames) with Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and watercolored the roses (Rose Red, Always Artichoke & More Mustard).  It is punched out and then I put a punched 1 3/4 circle behind it.  Under all that is some Rose Red seam binding which I ruffled a little.  My sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases set...love that set!!!

So, lets talk a little about my relationship with Canada Post!!!!  I mailed my swaps last week (a couple days later than I was supposed to...but that's life!).  I put them in one of those red boxes that you can find in almost every neighborhood...and as soon as I pushed them in the slot I had a feelin'!  A feelin' that they were going to sit in that box for a while before actually being mailed even though it says on the box that they are picked up everyday.  In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they're still sittin' in that red box!  It's just that I've had bad experiences before with those boxes and I think that the mail doesn't get picked up everyday from them (at least not the ones in my neighborhood!).  I should have just taken my swaps to the post office, but the red box was on my way to run errands.  And, I didn't want to be one of those people you see in the movies that is desperately trying to get their mail back out of the box...as funny as that would be!!!  Oh well...nothing I can do about it now!  Maybe someone from Canada Post reads my blog and can shed some light on my questions...I actually have a LOT of questions about the mail and why it goes the way it does.  sigh

Ladies, let me know when you get your cards...and at least you can use them for show in July!

Have an inspired day!

  1. That is a really cute card! I love the ruffle technique with the ribbon. Hopefully one day I will know how :)
