First Dentist Visit
My layout for today is all about Carter's first visit to the dentist! Yes, I'm that parent! I took pictures of my kids during their first visit to the dentist...and our dentist is really good about me bringing my camera! For Carter's, I asked him (after his appointment) what his favorite parts of visiting the dentist were (click on the picture below to enlarge it and see what he said!). I figure, this will be proof that once he loved going to the dentist!!!
All the letters on this page were cut with the Big Shot. I used the Billboard Alphabet as well as the Simple Alphabet. And, I chose to use the Top Note for my journaling. I love how it adds just a little something to the journaling blocks!
My color scheme for this layout is Sahara Sand, Basic Gray and Night of Navy. I chose Sahara Sand because that is totally the color of his chairs!!! I wonder if he knows that...maybe I should tell him next time I'm in for a cleaning! There's an awful lot of blue in the pictures, and Navy is a nice blue that seems to go with all the blues in the pictures. And, finally, I chose Basic Gray simply because it's it was a great neutral that went with the rest of the colors in the layout.
Have an inspired day!

Wow! I like your stamping layout! Gray is the best background because it isn't too light or too dark. The pictures are also awesome. My eldest daughter is also planning of making a scrapbook for her first baby. My granddaughter's first dentist visit was fun. I was in the dental implant office in Los Angeles at that time for an appointment. My daughter said that Hazel didn't cry and allowed the dentist to check on her teeth.
ReplyDeleteIt’s so nice to hear that Carter loved his first visit. Freebies and cool amenities really fascinate the children. And these also convert the fear in them into so much fun that they enjoy every single moment of their dental visit. It’s cool and your lay out design is way cooler, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI just love how you create a memorabilia for Carter’s first visit to the dentist! Yeah, I bet the layout will be a good reminder that he loves going to the dentist. The color combination of blue and gray is pleasing to the eyes. I hope Carter will always have healthy and wonderful smile!
ReplyDeleteI am just like you, Lisa! I already made a lot of scrapbooks for my daughter. That includes the first time when she had a tooth, walked, visited the dentist, and so on. I consider those as precious moments and somewhat great achievements on her part. I’m looking forward to create more scrapbooks in the future. Hehe! Good job to Carter, by the way! :D
